Eye Allergy
Eye allergies, also called allergic conjunctivitis, are quite common in India. It is an adverse immune response that occurs when the eye comes into contact with an irritating substance called allergens like pet dander, dust, pollen, smoke, perfumes, or even foods. It causes constant itching, foreign body sensation and redness of eye. The first approach in managing seasonal or perennial forms of eye allergy should be to avoid the allergens that trigger your symptoms. Oral and Topical medication (Antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer eyedrops) provide both short- and long-term targeted relief of eye allergy symptoms.
